Behind the Wild Animation Festival is a tight-knit group of creators, producers, and innovators who live at the intersection of art, technology, and culture. This team isn’t just organizing an event they’re building a platform for the next generation of storytellers.
Luke MacBain – Festival Director
Luke is a multidisciplinary creator and educator working across VR, animation, and immersive storytelling. With a background spanning Vancouver Film School, international workshops, and partnerships with global organizations, he brings a future-focused vision to the festival. Luke specializes in turning bold ideas into real-world experiences blending cinematic design, emerging tech, and cultural storytelling into something unforgettable.
Vlad Froimson – Festival Logistics
Vlad is a 3D sculptor and technical artist based in Vancouver, with experience across high-end visual production pipelines. Having worked in the VFX industry on major film projects, he brings precision, structure, and execution power to the team. At the festival, Vlad ensures that ideas don’t just stay conceptual they get built, delivered, and run smoothly.
Eliot Ejakoy – Festival Administration
Eliot also a superstar in the Animation world in rendering and story telling is bring his supports the operational backbone of the festival, handling coordination, communications, and day-to-day organization. With a strong focus on keeping systems aligned and people connected, Eliot helps translate the team’s creative momentum into a seamless experience for artists, partners, and attendees.
